Registered Nurse - 8th General Med/Tele

8 General Renal and Limb Preservation: is a 41 bed unit (29 beds on the General tower and 12 beds on the East tower) with an average daily census of 39.7 with capability to provide telemetry and pulse ox monitoring for 24 patients. The unit specializes in the care of the renal and limb preservation population presenting with varied diagnoses of renal, endocrine, genitourinary, lower extremity vascular conditions, diabetic foot infections and wounds that require surgical intervention and revascularization procedures to aid in wound healing and limb salvage. The limb preservation patients are supported by an RN Limb Preservation Program navigator who provides education and support hospitalization as well as after discharge.

• Education: Bachelor's degree preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience: One year relevant experience preferred.
• Licensure/certification/registration: Current RN licensure in appropriate state required. BLS Healthcare Provider, ACLS and PALS Preferred.
