The Medication Aide is responsible for administering and documenting medications and treatments as prescribed in a timely manner. In addition, the Medication Aide is responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living as scheduled and reporting any change in status to the Charge Nurse. The Medication Aide documents in the facility electronic medical record on a regular basis to ensure that that resident is receiving the appropriate level of care. Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma required. Proven success as a CNA. Completion of CNA program. required.
  • Experience: 1 year experience, preferred. Minimum five years experience if no high school diploma, required.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current state Registered Medication Licensure required. Current state Certified Nurse Aide Licensure required.
  • Additional Skills Required: Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
  • Additional Skills Preferred:Prior knowledge to electronic medical records. Basic computer skills.
