Novant Health is seeking an acute care Radiology Nursing Supervisor with oversight of the day to day operations for a highly specialize nursing unit.  This Radiology Nursing Unit is responsible for patient care while in the pre and post procedure area and during procedures.  Radiology Nursing provides hemodynamic monitoring as well as conscious sedation for patients during procedural exams.  These exams include but are not limited to CT Biopsies, Nuc Med Stress Testing and Interventional Radiology Procedures.  The Radiology Nursing Supervisor will be responsible for day to day staff schedules, orientation of new employees, payroll and daily management calls for bed placement.  The Radiology Nursing Supervisor must exhibit critical thinking skills and be able to assist in acute care, trauma and anesthesia type procedures.   Mid-level management skills and responsibilities are expected duties that the Radiology Nursing Supervisor should demonstrate at a high level of competence and understanding. Qualifications

  • Education: Associates degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. IF RT(R): Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist Program resulting in certification OR graduate of an accredited Radiological Technologist Program and currently registered by ARRT. IF RN: Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure in appropriate state.
  • Experience: IF RT(R): Minimum one year supervisory experience in Cath Lab or Interventional Procedures required. IF RN: Minimum one year supervisory experience in Critical Care, Cath Lab, or Interventional Procedures required.
  • Licensure/certification/registration: IF RT(R): ARRT required. IF RN: state RN license required.

Ability to successfully complete department-specific skill validation and competency testing.
