Novant Health is seeking a Critical Intensive Care Unit RN to work with a team that fosters growth, support and optimal care to both our patients and team members. Qualified candidates will support post heart attack, vascular surgery, pacemaker porcedures.

The CICU (Cardiac Intensive Care Unit) is a 24 bed critical care unit specializing in the care of critically ill cardiac and vascular patients.  Patient diagnoses include: heart failure, STEMI, cardiac arrhythmias, and vascular surgeries.  Specialized equipment used: Impella, IABP (intra aortic balloon pump), CRRT (continuous dialysis), ventilators, PA catheters, and temporary pacemakers.  The unit is supported by a team leader (out of patient assignment), Medical Unit Receptionist, 3 Assistant Nurse Managers, and Nurse Manager.  The CICU also is a key player in the rapid response team at NHFMC where we respond to medical emergencies throughout the facility-this responder is also out of patient assignment.  NHFMC is also Chest Pain accredited.

• Education: 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree Preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience: One year relevant experience Preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state Required. BLS Healthcare Provider, ACLSRequired. CCRN, PCCN, CNRN Preferred.
• Additional Skills preferred: Previous applicable progressive/telemetry and/or critical care/neuro clinical experience.
