Novant Health Neuroscience Institute is seeking an experienced Director of Market Institutes, who has a strategic operational leadership background in Neurology; leading Neurology, Neuroscience or Neurosurgery Institute service lines, and who has Neurology training in headache.


This role coordinates appropriate resources for operational, finance, human resource management, and supporting initiatives aligned with the organizational mission, vision, values and goals in the ambulatory clinics, while collaborating with facility and market leadership for acute care operations.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Healthcare or related field required.


  • Five (5) years of progressive supervisory/management experience; with a minimum of two (2) years of progressive supervisory/management in a healthcare setting required.
  • Strategic leadership and Neurology expertise; leading Neurology, Neuroscience or Neurosurgery Institute/Service Lines required. 
  • Neurology training/training in Headache preferred.
  • If no previous experience leading Neuroscience/Neurology Institute/Line; physician practice management, ambulatory clinic, acute care, hospital, or related clinical operational experience required.

  • Understanding of market segmentation as it relates to target markets and ability to develop materials that resonate appropriately.
  • Knowledge of healthcare policies, procedures and regulatory standards, and ability and willingness to work in an evolving healthcare system. 


  • Collaborates with organizational leaders and manages interdependencies across institutes, facilities, submarkets and the medical group and takes ownership and accountability to implement market strategic growth, operational precision, service enhancements, program development and community engagement initiatives.
  • Leads and ensures the market specific operational infrastructure of the institute will enable execution of key initiatives to meet targeted goals and outcomes.
  • Demonstrate effective operational, analytical, communication and organizational skills; including but not limited to: operational assessments, market analyses, business forecasts and success matrices linked to market and enterprise based goals.
