Brunswick Medical Center is located on the beautiful coast of North Carolina.  With a staff of more than 200 physicians and specialists, 500 employees and 200 volunteers, Brunswick Medical Center offers a full range of healthcare services. The medical center's comprehensive range of services include a 24-hour emergency department, maternity center, surgical services, and imaging and laboratory services, as well as physical therapy, speech therapy and cardiac rehabilitation.

Qualified CRNA candidates will provide:

  • Professional, competent anesthesia care to a wide variety of patients, from pediatric up to geriatric population, requiring surgical, obstetrical, and other anesthesia services.
  • Our team members utilize skills obtained through additional training, education and experience in the provision of anesthesia care to patients who present with complex and unique anesthetic requirements.
  • Candidates will work primarily in Brunswick Medical Center and provide needed coverage to other Community Medical Centers, ASCs, HOPDs, and Tertiary Medical Center with Multispecialty Trauma Services & multiple NORA (Non-operating room anesthesia) sites as directed by NH Anesthesia Leadership.
  • $30,000 Sign on Bonus eligible and up to $7,500 Relocation assitance provided.
  • 2023 Enhanced compensation and benefit packages.

Qualifications

  • Education: BSN, MSN, DNP, and/or graduate diploma level certification, required. Graduate from both an Accredited School of Nursing and School of Nurse Anesthesia. Certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetist (NBCRNA) as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) and recognized by the state of practice as a CRNA. Must meet minimum continuing education requirements every four years of the NBCRNA.
  • Experience: Previous experience is not necessary. Four to six week orientation period for new graduates (working with preceptor) is required. Orientation period for experienced providers will depend on previous experience and clinical skills.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
    • Current CRNA endorsement in appropriate state, required.
    • NBCRNA certification, required.
    • ACLS certification within NH policy, required.
    • BLS certification within NH policy, required.
    • PALS certification within NH policy, required.
  • Additional Skills (required):
    • Must have extensive knowledge of current anesthetic agents, techniques, drugs and equipment.
    • Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify the anesthetic plan of care suitable to patient age.
    • Must have considerable ability to make independent decisions, sometimes under stress, and to maintain a professional demeanor with patients, coworkers and physicians.
