We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical Oncology Unit at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

The Medical Surgical unit has a total 36 beds and has around a 6:1 patient ratio. We serve the adult/geriatric population with both medical and surgical diagnosis. Day to day you would be working with General medical-surgical and post-op care. Care is provided along with medical telemetry monitoring, wound care, IV initiation and maintenance, anticoagulation therapy, foley care and management, continuous oxygen therapy, PCA administration and more. RNs will assess, medicate and communicate with IDT as needed. Perform neuro checks and stroke scales as indicated once certified. Provide admission and discharge education while working closely with case management to assist with any barriers or additional needs.

• Education: Bachelor's degree preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience: One year relevant experience preferred.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current RN licensure in appropriate state required.
