Overview

ICU/IMU RN - Kernersville Medical Center

 

The Registered Nurse serves as a leader of the healthcare team at Novant Health.

 

The ICU/IMU is a 12-bed unit that will be growing into a 20-Bed unit in Fall of 2023. We operate on a 2:1 ratio and about 3:1 on the intermediate side. We service a wide variety of ICU patients.

 

Overview:

  • Expanding this fall to a 20-bed unit, 12 intermediate and 8 ICU
  • Taking on new patients including Cardiac ICU patients starting in April
  • Will Provide specialized care to patients Pre and Post cardiac procedure - Balloon pumps - Temp Venous pacemakers, etc.
  • 24/7 Tele RN & Tele MD Support
  • Work in a close knit, supportive and team oriented environment.
  • Kernersville Medical Center is newer facility with about 60 operational beds.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current RN licensure in appropriate state
  • BLS Healthcare Provider and ACLS
  • One-year relevant experience, Prior ICU experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
  • Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred. 
  • Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
