Novant Health is seeking a Managed Care Specialist to review and proces contractual adjustments on accounts associated with insurance payments from managed care payers, including Medicare, Medicare Managed Care, and Medicaid. Ensure maximum and accurate reimbursement as outlined in our contracts and assure that patient accounts are accurate and take appropriate action needed to resolve payment discrepancies and contractual adjustments. Education: High School or GED, required


Experience: Minimum three years Revenue Cycle experience, preferred


Additional Skills Required: Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Flexible, adaptable to change and stress. Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing. Must have excellent customer service skills.


Additional Skills Preferred: Basic medical terminology .Basic personal computer skills, familiarity with all Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook…); Siemens Patient Accounting experience preferred; Siemens Contract Management and optical imaging experience; Dimensions familiarity (EPIC) and knowledge of managed care payors/contracts.
