The Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation (HCT) and Cellular Therapy Data Manager will collaborate with the Program Medical Director and Leadership to provide oversight for the collection, monitoring, and analysis of all Transplantation and Cellular Therapy (TCT) Program datasets including program indicators and outcomes for the clinical program, apheresis, and cellular therapy processing. The Data Manager is responsible to ensure that timely and accurate data is reported to required data registries, including the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Registry (CIBMTR), and that program components are aligned with the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT) Standards. This position functions as a critical leader within the cross-market Novant Health TCT Quality Program and is responsible for providing information to monitor the quality of care given to our patients across the care continuum. The Data Manager will help identify opportunities for improvement in the delivery of care based on analytical findings. Performs improvement/research activities including abstract data analysis and writing. Maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise. This position is accountable to the TCT Team. The Data Manager must possess and demonstrate effective application of risk assessment, leadership, relationship building, decision making, execution, and accountability.   • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Science, Data Management, Healthcare Statistics or Nursing, required. Graduate Degree in Science, Data Management, Healthcare Statistics or Nursing, preferred.
  • Experience: Two years in clinical/research or a hospital setting required. Knowledge of HCT and cellular therapy processes, pre and post TCT patient care, chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR T) therapies and complications, and standards of the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT) preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: License and/or certification in specialty. Current NC RN license, if BSN, or Data Management Certification, if other than BSN, required. Current Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) certification, required.
  • Additional Skills (required):
    • Ability to complete generic or department specific competencies.
    • Ability to work with management teams and physicians; demonstrate interpersonal skills and communication skills.
    • Able to work independently without close supervision.
    • Demonstration of high energy and flexibility to accommodate one program’s interests in multiple locations.
    • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills with attention to fine detail.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong analytical ability.
    • Desire to be vested in the culture and nuisances of the TCT Program.
    • Desire to learn and master basic fundamentals of TCT and be a lifelong learner of ongoing advancements and improvement in TCT practice.
    • Must maintain a cooperative and positive attitude.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology and auditing.
    • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Additional Skills (preferred): Advanced knowledge of FACT Standards and CIBMTR reporting including using FormsNet3 data form submissions.
