Novant Health Rowan Medical Center is seeking an LPN for our Medical Surgical Team! The Licensed Practical Nurse serves as a member of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with other team members to provide care that promotes optimal health. The Licensed Practical Nurse accepts accountability for provision of care, as part of the RN led team, in accordance with the current policies and procedures

 

The Medical Surgical unit has a total 36 beds and has around a 6:1 patient ratio. We serve the adult/geriatric population with both medical and surgical diagnosis. Day to day you would be working with General medical-surgical and post-op care. This unit is a great place to learn the skills needed to care for a diverse patient population.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Graduate of accredited practical nursing program, required.
  • Experience: One year of experience in area of specialty, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current LPN licensure in appropriate state, required.
  • Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s) age.
