Overview

Novant Health is seeking a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Forsyth Medical Center in Med/Surg General Surgery to serve as a leader of the healthcare team by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system and collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care.  Patient population in this unit includes telemetry monitored and unmonitored patients.  

Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education: 

    • High School Diploma or GED, required.
    • Graduate of accredited practical nursing program.

Experience: 

    • One year of experience in area of specialty preferred.

Licensure/Certification: 

    • Current LPN licensure in appropriate state required.
    • Unit/Dept Specific Required Certifications.

Additional Skills (required): 

      •  Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
      • Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs.
      • Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s) age.
