Novant Health is seeking a recruiter to partner closely with the hiring leader to understand staffing needs, then create innovative, proactive and resourceful sourcing strategies to find and attract the top passive and active talent. External client facing with focus on passive candidate outbound sourcing, building talent pipelines, screening and assessing applicants. Utilize advanced database and internet search (google commands, Boolean operators, and other best practice search techniques), cold contact with candidates, initial screen, and provide a positive candidate experience; you will contribute to our world class organization. Assist the recruiting team with overall recruiting goals. Must be able to work in a fast pace environment.


This is a hybrid role, working remote from home with the expectation for travel onsite as needed or requested. The recruiter primary responsibilities are to attract, source, and hire diverse talent that reflects the communities that Novant Health serves. The recruiter is responsible for the full candidate lifecycle: from managing the hiring manager relationships, sourcing, screening, and hiring for a high-quality pipeline of diverse candidates. To succeed, the recruiter must be highly effective in recruitment to maintain candidate satisfaction, engage with operational leaders, and can communicate with all key players in the processes.

  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field Required.
  • Experience: 3 years' experience in Corporate or executive recruiting including recruitment or recruitment support or human resources Required.  
  • Additional skills required:
    • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant current local, federal, as well as state regulatory and governing standards for recruitment.
    • Proven experience as a recruiter hiring qualified individuals from a wide variety of diverse demographics.
    • Demonstrated success effectively leading a team, motivating and coaching, building rapport, building and maintaining effective and professional working relationships. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects set service level agreements and meets and exceed customer expectations.
    • Ability to influence, negotiate, effectively listen, research and resolve issues, problem solve and resolve conflict remaining respectful and neutral in decision-making.
    • Speed to Market: Effectively works in a fast-paced work environment to deliver results.
    • World Class: Knowledgeable about HR best practices and future trends in healthcare and in industry.
    • Problem Solving: Strong creative problem-solving skills.
    • Digital Fluency: Proficiency with iCIMS or similar ATS, Microsoft Office 365, etc.
    • Highly Effective Communicator: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, appropriately and inclusively with key stakeholders at all levels.

    • Judgment: Demonstrated ability to act independently upon information and make decisions that achieve optimal results.
