Overview

  • $45,000 Sign on bonus eligible and up to $7,500 in relocation assistance provided for those that qualify.
  • Anesthesia Care Team model with a  great working relationship with our anesthesiologists as well as with our surgeons.
  • Thomasville is located just 30 minutes from Winston Salem and 60min from Charlotte, NC just off I-85.  The area has lots of outdoor activities and is centrally located with access to the beach and the mountains within a short drive.  Multiple professional and collegiate sporting events occur year round.  
  • Thomasville Medical Center is a small community based hospital with a primary ambulatory surgical center, comprised of (5) ORs, (1) Endo Suite, and (1) C-section OR.  Cases are comprised of General, ENT adult/peds, OB/GYN, Endo, Eyes.  CRNAs provided 24 hr in-house coverage with Anesthesiology back up after 5pm.  CRNAs work with a very high regard of autonomy with physician availability 24/7.  Comfort with SAB and Epidural is recommended,  or have a high desire to learn these skills.

Qualifications

  • Education: BSN, MSN, DNP, and/or graduate diploma level certification required. Graduate from both an Accredited School of Nursing and School of Nurse Anesthesia. Certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetist (NBCRNA) as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) and recognized by the state of practice as a CRNA. Must meet minimum continuing education requirements every four years of the NBCRNA.
  • Experience: Previous experience is not necessary. Four to six week orientation period (working with preceptor) is required. Orientation period will depend on previous experience and clinical skills.
  • Licensure/Certification required: 
    • Current RN licensure in appropriate state
    • Current CRNA endorsement in appropriate state
    • NBCRNA certification
    • ACLS certification within NH policy
    • BLS certification within NH policy
    • PALS certification within NH policy
  • Additional Skills required:
    • Must have extensive knowledge of current anesthetic agents, techniques, drugs and equipment.
    • Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify the anesthetic care suitable to patient age.
    • Must have considerable ability to make independent decisions, sometimes under stress, and to maintain a professional demeanor with patients, coworkers and physicians.
