The Associate Chief Nursing Officer is accountable for organizing, leading and managing the Medical Center’s Adult Inpatient (Including Inpatient Psychiatry and Emergency Department) areas in partnership with other managers and respective Medical Directors, so the highest quality care is delivered. The Associate Chief ensures the clinical enterprise works harmoniously with and supports the teaching and research mission of the Health System. The Associate Chief directly oversees programs in acute and critical care that support the delivery of inpatient services. As a deputy of UVA Community Health CNO, the Associate Chief partners with Human Resources on recruitment and retention of all team members that fall under the CNO area.   • Education: Registered Nurse with Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing, or Bachelor's of Science in Nursing with Master's or Doctoral degree in Business or Health-related field.
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in management with progressive leadership abilities. Administrative experience in an academic setting strongly preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current Virginia RN license, required.
