    Nuclear Medicine/PET Supervisor, Charlotte, NC

     

    Job Summary:

     

    This position provides direct leadership and oversight over the Nuclear Medicine department and PET Imaging Center at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center, a nonprofit 500+ bed tertiary care medical center located in Charlotte, N.C. The Nuclear medicine department performs over 5,300 procedures per year encompassing all aspects of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine, including nuclear cardiology. 

     

    The PET center performs over 1,600 PET procedures annually, including FDG, Axumin, NetSpot, and Amyvid.  The supervisor also provides technical supervision and support to 4 affiliated community hospital Nuclear Medicine departments around the greater Charlotte area, and helps support the mobile PET unit that travels between these facilities.  Both the fixed and mobile PET units are state-of-the-art Siemens MCT 20 flow scanners. 

     

    Duties include but are not limited to: working with our physician partners to create and implement protocols for Nuclear Medicine and PET, implementing new services, maintaining ACR accreditations, monthly budgets, biweekly payroll, etc.

     

    Requirements:  Minimum of two years supervising experience.

     

    License:  NMTCB required, PET preferred

     

     

    Qualifications

     

    Education: 

    • High School Diploma/GED required. Associates Degree preferred.
    • Graduated from an accredited Radiology Program under ARRT or an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology Program NMTCB.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of two years supervisory or lead experience in acute care overseeing other imaging department and/or imagining modalities with a total of three to four years of clinical experience required.

    Licensure/certification/registration:  

    • At least one of the following registries: ARRT required. ARDMS, NMTCB preferred

    Additional skills required:

    • Ability to successful complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
