Qualifications

  • Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, Required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, Preferred.
  • Experience: 5 Year Critical Care/Telemetry/Hemo/Dialysis background, OR Cath Lab or Special Procedure experience, OR CVT experience, Preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist Program resulting in certification OR graduate of an accredited Radiological Technologist Program and currently registered by ARRT AND a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist OR Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (required). OR if ARRT certified, the applicant may also be certified in Cardiac Intervention (CI) and Vascular Intervention (VI) in lieu of RCIS or RCES. If RN, graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure in appropriate state (required). RCIS, RCES, CVN or CCRN certification (preferred).
    • BLS, ACLS, and PALS (if applicable)
    • RCS or RDCS for non-nursing professionals
    • CVN or CCRN for nursing 
  • Additional Skills (required): Exhibits leadership characteristics to include: listening to gain understanding, keeps promises made, supports the organization in word and deed, supports the staff, communicates effectively and asks for feedback, makes fair decisions based on the needs of all staff, shares knowledge to improve and challenge staff to be their best, treats others with fairness and respect, chooses competent, compatible staff, visualizes the big picture for the department as we relate to the organization, creates a personal connection with staff that fosters mutual respect, has a work ethic which is a model for the staff and motivates staff through encouragement and vision for the department.
  • Additional Skills (preferred): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skill validation and competency testing. Pass Cardiac Dysrhythmias Test.
