Operating Room Coordinator

Novant Health is seeking an Operating Room Coordinator to work with individuals and groups within and outside the organization to ensure the availability of items necessary for patient care and acting as a liaison between the Supply Chain and OR/Surgical Services departments. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of Operating Room Materials Management within the assigned hospital.

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, Required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, Preferred.
  


• Experience: Minimum of eight years healthcare materials management or will accept Minimum of 3 years broad OR/Surgical Services, Required.


• Additional Skills (required): PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, Team oriented with good communication skills.


• Additional Skills (preferred): OR/Surgical Services materials management and logistics, planning, and support operations.

• Ensures all supplies, equipment, and materials are available as required to support Operating Rooms and Procedural Areas.
• Fosters positive relationships with clinical staff, maintaining healthy, bidirectional communication between Operating Room and Supply Chain.
• Manages par levels and monitors inventory for the Operating/Procedural Rooms within the hospital.
• Resolves any problems between hospitals and contracting, buyers, distribution centers or materials systems.
• Performs associated functions within the Materials Management Department as needed and other duties as assigned.
