Family Practitioner - Wilmington/Coastal Market

For over 30 years New Hanover Medical Group - now a part of Novant Health -  has provided superior healthcare and wellness for the entire family. Based out of five locations, we have 42 physicians on staff, including family medicine, pediatrics, and internal medicine. We are looking to bring on three additional physicians in 2023 and 2024 as we continue to grow. We have the lowest physician turnover in the Southeast!   Work a 4-and-a-half-day week with minimal call.   We typically see about 25 patients a day with plenty of back-up available, i.e. NPs and specialists on staff.  Responsibilities include:

• providing comprehensive, patient-centered care
• quality measurement/improvement
• Team-based care
• Communication across the continuum of care
• Care management
• Patient satisfaction

 A generous two-year salary guarantee plus a comprehensive benefits package will be offered.  Top 10% earnings for primary care in the US.

• Access is a key theme – Novant Health encourages same day, extended hours, e-visits and video visits to deliver care where and when our patients need us.
• All of our community medicine physician leaders maintain a patient panel to remain connected to the day-to-day challenges and joys of practicing medicine.

Education: 

• Graduate of an accredited school of medicine required
• Completion of an accredited residency program required
• For specialty physicians - completion of an accredited fellowship program specific to medical specialty

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Current MD license in appropriate state
• Board certification or eligibility
• Current DEA license required
