Novant Health South End Pediatrics is looking for a Part Time Licensed Practical Nurse  to coordinate and assist the provider and nursing to ensure safe quality/cost effective service and care for the people within the practice population. Provides and documents clinical care and maintenance of a safe and clean environment, under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse/APP or physician. The Event Medicine Emergency Medical Technician must have the ability to provide basic life support to patients from neonate throughout the geriatric years in the pre-hospital setting at special events. Must function as a patient care provider in conjunction with a Registered Nurse and a Paramedic in accordance with approved departmental policies, procedures, and protocols.

Qualifications

LPN Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Graduate of accredited Practical Nursing Program, required.
  • Experience: One year of relevant experience, required.
  • Licensure/Certification: Appropriate state LPN license, required.

CNA II Qualifications:

 

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Experience: One year, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Completion of NA I and NA II programs or NA I + 4 Obtained at a NH hospital or current credential for EMT in appropriate state, required. NA registry as NA I in good standing. Current NA II certification with required state, required.
  • Additional Skills (required):
    • Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
    • Basic computer skills for documentation

EMT Qualifications:

  • Required: Three years’ experience as an EMT
  • Required: Must at time of hire maintain affiliation with an Emergency Medical Services prehospital provider that has EMT's as part of their staff. The EMT must be in good standing without restrictions.
