Psychiatric Technologist

The Psychiatric Tech is responsible for assisting with care of psychiatric patients from young adults up the age continuum through geriatrics under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
• Experience: One year of relevant experience, preferred. 
• Licensure/Certification: CNAI in NC required for Geriatrics, required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required. CNAI in NC, preferred. 
• Additional skills preferred: Ability to perform all CPI physical holds. Ability to care for Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse age specific patients within facility.
