Overview

Huntersville Medical Center is seeking a Women's Services RN, this is a PRN (per-diem) position. This need is primarily nights, 7P-7A. Huntersville Medical Center is a 139-bed hospital located in a family-friendly community with many opportunities for shopping, eating, and having fun. Our Women’s Services department at this facility consists of multiple specialties including labor and delivery & mother/baby. PRN candidates must have experience in Women's Services in order to be considered.

 

Schedule:

This is a PRN position, the need is mostly 7P-7A but candidates can pick up 7A-7P depending on unit need. PRN employees must work a minimum of 4 shifts in a 6 week time tract, including 1 weekend shift and 1 major and 1 minor holiday per year. This unit is self-scheduling.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a leader of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care that promotes optimal health or supports a peaceful death.
  • Utilizes best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey.
  • Accepts responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care in accordance with the current policies and procedures.to serve as a leader of the healthcare team by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their support system.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree preferred.
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
  • Experience: One year relevant experience preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state required.  See essential functions for further requirements
