Novant Health Medical Group is looking for a compassionate, caring experienced Women’s Health Advanced Practice Provider to join a local, growing practice of 4 physicians and 6 APPs in the Lexington/Thomsville, NC area. We are looking for a provider to provide well-woman checks, family planning, prenatal, intrapartum, and post-partum care to our patients as well as evaluating general gyn concerns, vaginal health and addressing pre- and post-Menopausal concerns. The ideal provider has a strong interest in women's health, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work well with a team. Experience with women's health preferred.

The towns of Lexington and Thomasville offer rural living that is great for raising families with the convenience of the city about 15 minutes away. The Winston-Salem market is located within the Piedmont Triad area and is the home to many great attractions such as 2 minor league baseball teams (The Winston-Salem Dash, The Greensboro Grasshoppers) and a team in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, a partner of Major League Baseball, The High Point Rockers. We have college football (Wake Forest), several local wineries, and a large art community (theater, ballet). We are 2 hours north of Charlotte, 2 hours to the east of the North Carolina Mountains, Asheville is less than 2 hours to the Southwest and Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill are about 2 hours to the east where you can catch some good basketball and larger concerts. We are within 4 hours of the North Carolina beaches and less than 3 hours to Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia, a popular summer destination. We have an international airport in Greensboro and Charlotte.

Education: Master's Degree Required. Master's degree in NP program or post Master's NP program. As of January 1, 2005, all new NP graduates must have a Master's Degree. National certification required after January 1, 2000. Continuing education is mandatory for recertification and for continuing regulatory recognition to practice in the State.
Experience: One to three years of experience working in Women's Health preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current NP license in appropriate state, registry w/state medical bd, current DEA registry Required
Additional Skills Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Ability to work with management team and physicians; demonstrated customer service skills, interpersonal skills and communication skills.
