PRN Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center

Job Summary: We are seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team on a PRN (as-needed) schedule. The Operating Room Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing nursing care to patients in the operating room and collaborating with surgeons and other healthcare team members to ensure a safe and successful surgical experience for our patients.

• Requirements:
• • Current RN licensure in the state of North Carolina.
• • Minimum of 1 year of operating room experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• • CNOR certification preferred.
• • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
• • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.Requirements:

Assess patients prior to surgery and assist in creating a plan of care for the patient.

• Administer medications and anesthesia as prescribed by the surgeon and anesthesiologist.

• Monitor patient vital signs and provide necessary interventions to ensure patient safety. • Assist in positioning the patient for the surgery and prepare the surgical site.

• Assist the surgeon during the procedure by passing instruments and supplies.

• Monitor patient recovery and provide post-operative care.

•Document all patient care in electronic medical record.

• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure a safe and successful surgical experience for the patient.
