Novant Health seeks Pediactric Certified Respiratory Therapist IIs (CRTs) PRN in Charlotte, NC.
Our Certified Respiratory Therapists serve as intricate members of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their support system. Certified Respiratory Therapists utilize best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey. CRTs accept responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care in accordance with the current policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Diploma in Respiratory Care or higher, required. Associate in Respiratory Care, preferred.
- Experience: One year acute care experience, required.
- Licensure/Certification: Current RCP licensure in appropriate state, required. ACLS, PALS, NRP, preferred.
- Additional Skills (preferred): Previous applicable clinical experience.
Responsibilities

- Acts as a patient advocate for the patient and their support system by incorporating education in the interdisciplinary care plan.
- Prioritize job duties according to patients' needs and changing acuity levels and ensures timely completion of care interventions, medical orders, etc.
- Administers and evaluates medication therapies, performs patient transfers and transports patients.
- Demonstrates independence in the specialty of Respiratory Care. Practices according to state requirements and standards.
