Overview

Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all activities of each facility according to its policies, procedure’s philosophy and objectives. Comprehensive understanding of the mission and vision of Novant Health, Inc. Responsible for overseeing multiple facilities in a given market or geographic area including HOPD, Freestanding and Joint Ventures. This role will also oversee and participate in Joint venture Med executive meetings, and co-management meetings. Participates in financial and cost-containment decisions. Ensures that the facility meets all related Local, State, Federal, CMS, CFCs or COPs and accrediting-body rules and regulations. Responsibilities include financial management, effective and efficient utilization of resources; business plan development, budgeting; recruitment and retention of employees; achieving dashboard metrics revenue growth and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Education:  Bachelor's degree, required.  Master's degree, preferred.
  • Experience:  Minimum of three years ambulatory surgery center or related acute care experience, healthcare management, evidence of leadership qualities; required.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration:  Appropriate state RN licensure, required.
  • Additional Skills Required: Computer literacy, Proficiency in Word and Excel; able to independently use office equipment such as fax, copier and scanner; sufficiently proficient in medical equipment to guide the selection and bid process. Able to operate all appropriate clinical equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Able to perform the necessary functions on Novant computer systems. Cooperative work attitude toward co-employees, management, patients, visitors, and physicians. Ability to promote favorable facility image with physicians, patients, insurance companies, and general public. Ability to make decisions and solve problems. Language skills adequate for high-level written, interpersonal, and telephone communication. Job quality requirements: Accuracy, mental alertness for quality decision-making, attention to detail, timeliness, organization, leadership, physical stamina for extra working hours, if needed, and sensitive to culture and bilingual issues. Dependability - attendance, punctuality, ability to follow instructions, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Additional Skills Preferred: Experience with professional/technical staff other than clinical.
