Overview

***IN OFFICE POSITION***

 

Responsible for the general functions of the Mail Center including, but not limited to, handling and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail, scanning applicable documents, dispersal of electronic correspondence, and working returned mail for both acute and ambulatory Revenue Cycle Services. Also responsible for providing administrative support for work from home team members.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Experience: 2 years Healthcare or related field, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: 
  • Additional Skills (required):
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, critical thinking and multi-tasking ability, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks, ability to analyze, investigate and resolved issues.
    • Ability to work independently, efficiently, and accurately.
    • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
    • Must be able to bend, stoop and move around.
    • Normal or corrected visual acuity and hearing.
    • Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
    • Must be able to work independently, present problems with solutions and consistently is able to meet deadlines.
    • Must be efficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability to operate a Windows based personal computer.
    • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team, maintain department and patient confidentiality, interact with all cultures and level of authority.
    • Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
  • Additional Skills (preferred): Motivation and Adaptability, Basic medical terminology.
