Overview

The P&C Employee Relations Partner will facilitate and manage employee relations to one or more lines of business. This collaborative leader will serve as an internal consultant to leaders, staff and providers regarding HR Policies and procedures while developing and promoting innovative ways to foster employee engagement. Works in close partnership with HRBPs, compliance and legal while balancing business need and organizational risk management.

 

Job Relationships: Reports to and receives assignments from VP, Business Partners.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field, required. Graduate's Degree strongly, preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of seven years of Human Resources or related experience, required. Health care experience. Experience in managing and implementing projects and strategic change initiatives. Experience in providing consultative services, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: PHR, SPHR, CHCR, SHRM-CP, SHRBP or SHRM-SCP certifications, preferred.
  • Additional skills required:
    • Communication: Creates an environment that supports and respects diversity to promote creative problem solving. Communicates the value of activities within the organization and community to gain cooperation and collaborative partnership.
    • Customer Service: Holds staff accountable for customer service standards and ensures service recovery when needed. Ensures staff responds to customers in a timely manner.

    • Digital Fluency: Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, specifically Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Additional skills preferred:

    • Intellectual depth, moral integrity, personal vision, creativity, leadership skills, fortitude, sincerity, and diplomacy.
    • Ability to work independently and as a team player who will productively engage with others at varying levels of seniority within and outside of Novant Health.
    • Bilingual in Spanish / English.
