Overview

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-5pm
  • Department: GCM Wound Ostomy Services
  • Location: Presbyterian Medical Center

 

The Wound/Ostomy Specialist RN is responsible for achieving standards of care, collaborating with physicians, managers, clinical coordinators and other team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized patient care in accordance with the current policies and procedures. Responsible for ongoing quality, productivity and efficiency in Wound Ostomy Care Services.

Qualifications

  • Education:  High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. BSN required/BS considered.
  • Experience:  Three years in clinical nursing, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. Certification in wound/ostomy care, required.
  • Additional skills required: Completion of Wound/Ostomy Course provided by accredited program. This must be completed within 2 years of hire and certification should be achieved within within 6 months to 1 year after program is complete. Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
