Overview

Analyzes, designs, and develops learning strategies to support a remarkable patient experience using a wide range of learning formats, including instructor led, distance and computer based training for Novant Health's Dimensions Epic implementation. Analyzes training needs and develops blended learning solutions for a healthcare audience. Aims at providing a remarkable experience through a collaborative relationship with stakeholders and customers.

Qualifications

  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Relevant education, required. Graduate Degree, preferred. Relevant education, preferred. Project Management Education, preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum three year's relevant experience in instructional design and curriculum development within the Epic Electronic Health Record, required.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current Epic Certification as a Principal Trainer in Cadence, Resolute or EpicCare, required. Certification in Instructional Design, preferred.
  • Additional Skills (required):
    • Experience in the use of multimedia, and development of Computer Based Training using common authorware and software such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Creative Cloud, Vyond Animation, Snagit and other instructional design related software.
    • Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and SCORM standards.
    • Expertise in design and development of interactive web-based training solutions and mobile learning.
    • Expertise in storyboarding, technical writing/scripting, narration, graphics, animation, and gamification.
    • Evidence of strong consultation skills with projects to direct training development and modalities based on the complexity of education, target audience, and its impact on the medical group.
    • Proven critical thinking skills and attention to detail by breaking down content for end user application.
    • Partners with subject matter experts to clarify business objectives, identify performance gaps and recommend necessary solutions.
    • Assists in projects including negotiating project scope and timeline, meeting all deadlines within reasonable expectations.
    • Actively communicates with stakeholders and ensures solutions have a demonstrable impact to the medical group.
    • Creates design standards and templates and integrates technology-based tools into the development process.
    • Maintains a progressive knowledge of the trends in instructional design, learning methodologies and learning technology solutions.
    • Routinely researches new trends, tools and techniques associated with content/curriculum design and development.
    • Experience using ADDIE, SAM, AGILE and other current instructional design methodologies.
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite applications.
  • Additional Skills (preferred):
    • Master's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Adult/Continuing Education, or related field.
    • Building, Testing, & Maintaining the training environment. Translating researching, analysis, and understanding of workflows of end users to configure systems that improve processes, add efficiencies, and promote patient safety.
    • Develops and maintains Curricula and supports training materials for your application. Writes and edits the curricula for all roles that require training in the application.
    • Develops training materials to announce and educate end users using a variety of media and creates job aides and other training documentation.
    • Ability to travel to off-site locations
