Supervisor Pharmacy (Ambulatory Pharmacy-Coastal Market)

Novant Health is seeking a Supervisor Pharmacy-Ambulatory Pharmacy Coastal Market, to join our ambulatory pharmacy team, to deliver optimal medication management across all dimensions of care, every time.

 

Preferred Experience/Credentials

  • Minimum of two years of ambulatory pharmacy experience or ASHP-accredited PGY2 ambulatory residency preferred.  Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Current BCPS, BCACP, or BCCP (board certification will be required post-employment for credentialing).  This position will be hybrid (splitting time between managing a team and providing patient care as a Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner -CPP).

Essential functions include:

  • Overseeing daily operations of ambulatory medication management services and personnel.
  • Partnering with NHMG providers and clinics to provide remarkable patient care.
  • Medication therapy management and patient counseling.
  • Promoting high quality, evidence-based, cost-effective pharmaceutical care.
  • Precepting of residents (PGY1/PGY2) and students.
  • Participation in pharmacy and NHMG committees and shared governance.
  • Having a clear understanding of quality improvement principles and value-based care models.
  • Contributing to process improvement projects.
  • Supporting the educational and professional development of the department and system.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrating proficiency with equipment and software.

Qualifications

  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy, required. Doctorate of Pharmacy, preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of ambulatory pharmacy experience and/or ASHP-accredited ambulatory pharmacy practice residency preferred. Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current Pharmacy licensure in appropriate state(s) or must be completed within 90 days of hire by either examination or reciprocity, required.
  • Additional Skills (required): Other duties as outlined in facility policies and procedures. Ability to drive/travel to multiple locations/facilities as needed.
