Overview

Manager Infrastructure Applications (the Manager) will work with and lead an infrastructure team focused on the following disciplines: application delivery technologies to include Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, NetScaler load balancing and associated systems; Epic Client System teams to include Novant Health ECSA personnel/systems as well as vendor/partner Epic managed services and hosted solutions providers including coordinating operations with other infrastructure teams, Care Layer Products teams, and 3rd party partners used to support the Epic infrastructure; and a team responsible for Active Directory, Microsoft O365, Exchange, DNS/DHCP systems, and associated systems/personnel/environments.

 

The Manager ensures the respective team is meeting goals, adhering to standards, are assigned projects/tasks, and will plan, monitor, and appraise job results. The Manager will complete operations by developing schedules, gathering resources, implementing productivity standards, resolving operational problems, and developing new procedures as necessary. The Manager will take strategic direction from the Director of Unified Compute and utilize the team to operationalize those directives. The Manager will be required to foster innovation within their respected technology areas and ensure the infrastructure under their purview is always optimized. Further, the Manager will develop partnerships, both internal and external, which will drive remarkable results.

Qualifications

  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Graduate Degree, degree.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in healthcare IT or systems infrastructure roles, required. Previous leadership experience, preferred.
  • Additional Skills (required):
    • Experience with IT Project Management
    • Excellent communication and social skills
    • Knowledge of infrastructure applications systems (Active Directory, O365, Citrix, Epic Client Systems)
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Knowledge of the interoperability of Epic with application delivery systems
    • Ability to establish and report on key performance indicators against service level agreements to ensure systems and operations are meeting desired performance levels.
    • Ability to partner with key teams across the organization to drive technical projects and initiatives.
    • Ability to lead testing and evaluation of new technologies and opportunities in the application infrastructure spectrum.
    • Ability to communicate the team’s objectives and plans internally at all levels of the organization as well as externally with key partners consistently and clearly.
  • Additional Skills (preferred):
    • Epic Certifications
    • Strong experience in vendor/partner relationship management
    • ServiceNow experience
