Overview

  • Position: Lactation Consultant
  • Schedule: Full-time (36 hours/week). This position can be very flexible with the hours depending on candidates availability and preference. It will be four 9 hour shifts, but the department can work with the candidate on hours. It will be primarily day shift hours.
  • Department: Lactation
  • Location: Thomasville Medical Center, Thomasville, North Carolina.
  • Requires current IBCLC

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED. required. 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, preferred. 
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in mother/baby care or breast feeding education, required.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current IBCLC certification, required. Current RN licensure in appropriate state, preferred.
  • Additional Skills Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Excellent customer service skills.
