Overview

The Well-Being & Resiliency Partner is responsible for advancing and scaling a suite of well-being and resiliency offerings for providers, nurses, leaders and team members – with a special emphasis on nursing, Novant Health’s largest job family. The Well-Being & Resiliency Partner will play a crucial role in developing relationships and ensuring excellent service delivery to all customers, with the goal of enhancing a culture of well-being, care and support for our amazing leaders and team members.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required.
  • Experience:
    • 2 years of Healthcare field or Nursing experience, required.
    • 5 years of Healthcare field or Nursing experience, preferred.
    • Involvement in Novant Health’s ongoing well-being programs and communities also preferred, or comparable experience elsewhere; preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Registered Nurse, preferred.
  • Additional skills required:  
    • Embody the values of Well-Being & Resiliency at Novant Health – to care well for our team members through leadership, authenticity, compassion, listening, empathy, self-care, and support.
    • Participate in and ensure delivery of system-wide Well-Being & Resiliency strategy, including:
      • Perform rounding in facilities and clinics in respective markets to develop relationships and enhancing a culture of well-being, care and support for our amazing leaders and team members.
      • Develop, implement and manage system-wide initiatives and programs.
      • Develop and execute facilitation skills for Novant Health’s programmatic offerings.
      • Provide support and training to team members regarding well-being and resiliency initiatives.
      • Partner with leaders to advance tools for well-being.
    • Strategic thought partner for development of new ways to support our colleagues, specifically as it relates to a system-wide strategy for our nursing job family, as well as other priority job families. Execute and measure results of projects.
    • Act as a Well-Being & Resiliency subject matter expert during the request process, in consultation with internal and external partners, and in end-to-end project planning and delivery.
    • Implement, execute and drive improvement projects within specific timelines through cross-functional advisory groups and councils in respective markets.
    • Handle complex inquiries, educate providers/clients and reconcile inconsistencies and procedural difficulties when necessary.
    • Innovative and collaborative spirit, partnering with key stakeholders across the system to promote and elevate the work of culture, well-being and leadership.
    • Provide support of Novant Health’s growing peer support network. This includes, but is not limited to the Emotional Health Advocate Team (eHAT) – a team-member led movement of support, where we aim to care well for ourselves and one another through conversation. Examples of shared responsibilities include: new cohort training, ongoing training and development, communications, quarterly reunions, supporting and deploying advocates to advance emotional health at Novant Health. Other responsibilities as assigned related to other well-being communities and initiatives (e.g., Mental Health First Aid, stress and mindfulness forums, virtual behavioral health support, etc.).
    • Ability to develop and mentor others. Superior communication and critical thinking skills. Ability to drive strategic direction through indirect reporting relationships. Ability to influence and build collaborative relationships. Ability to work independently and effectively to collaborate with cross-functional teams with enthusiasm, initiative and creativity.
