Overview

Responsible for the prompt and efficient examination, investigation and settlement or declination of worker's compensation claims through effective research, negotiation and interaction with worker's compensation team, claimant, and counsel ensuring that company resources are utilized in a cost effective manner in the process.

Qualifications

  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree Or 10+ years equivalent work experience in Lost Time Self-administered workers compensation environment, required.
  • Experience: 6 Years Work experience in Lost Time Self-administered workers compensation environment, required.
  • Licensure/Certification: Claims Adjuster License in appropriate state, required. Associate in Claims (AIC) Designation or similar professional designation, preferred.
  • Additional Skills/Requirements (required):
    • Ability to work in a team environment.
    • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to work independently and deal effectively with multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Excellent verbal, written communication skills and customer service skills.
    • Computer literacy, including working knowledge of MS Office Product Suite (Word, Excel, & Power Point).
    • Familiarity with medical terminology.
