Overview

Responsible for effective ongoing quality, productivity and efficiency in Radiology. The Radiology Supervisor accepts responsibility, authority and accountability for day to day radiology operations and compliance in accordance with the current policies and procedures. This position will provide leadership to all imaging modalities within the facility and will be responsible for effectively and efficiently driving quality and productivity to meet the patients’ needs. Responsible for maintaining all state, federal and accreditation standards.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Graduate of an accredited Radiology program or a certified/ accredited/JCERT hospital based program and credentialed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Must hold ARRT certification.
  • Experience: Three years experience in diagnostic radiology, required. Two years experience in supervisory experience, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: ARRT Certified. Applicable state licensure as required.
  • Additional Skills (required): Thorough knowledge of radiographic equipment and accessories. Analytical ability and basic computer skills. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s) age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Good communication skills, capable of functioning alone in diagnostic rooms, working knowledge of various types of x-ray equipment, able to adapt to various situations and procedures.
