Novant Health is seeking an Intern. The Design and Construction Operations Intern will assist the Design and Construction (design focus) team with planning, oversight, execution, and management of comprehensive design services for major and minor renovations, construction, and maintenance projects, as well as development and maintenance of the corporate design guidelines regarding room type and size, fixtures, furniture, finishes, artwork, and signs.  The Design and Construction Operations Intern will assist in day-to-day operations, including finish, furniture and artwork selections, space planning, and facility rounding to learn how he or she contributes to the health system’s vision of achieving Novant Health’s commitment to patients and families.

• Education: High School Diploma/GED required, currently enrolled in an accredited university/college or graduate program working toward a degree in Architecture, Engineering, Planning, Design, or construction tech required  
• Experience: 0-2 years, preferred
• Additional Skills Required: 
  
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-directed and able to work without supervision
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
