Overview

Novant Health is hiring for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for the variable hours shift for our New Hanover Regional Medical Center Orthopedic Hospital location in Wilmington, North Carolina. We’re offering up to a $45,000 sign-on bonus as well as $7,500 relocation. 

 

  • Schedule: Full-Time, 1.0 FTE, 80 Hours per 2 weeks, 12 Hour Shifts, Occasional Weekends

About the Anesthesia department:

We’re seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team! In the Anesthesia Department, we have an excellent team environment where you can collaborate with your fellow Nurse Anesthetists and work together for the good of the patients. With our level 2 trauma center and self-scheduling capabilities, you will provide care to patients needing higher risk endoscopy, open heart, OB, cardiology, robotic surgeries, etc. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing and Master's of Science in Nursing required. 
  • Current valid Registered Nurse license required. 
  • Certified RN Anesthetist required. 
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required. 
  • Three or more years of relevant experience required.

If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares patients for anesthesia. 
  • Administers anesthesia to patients. 
  • Maintains and monitors the patient and anesthesia during procedures. 
  • Assess and manage patients' recovery from anesthesia. 
  • Collaborates with the providers and nurses on plan of care.
