About the Women’s Unit Department:

We’re seeking a registered nurse to join our dynamic team. Our diverse patient population includes men and women, providing exposure to a wide range of cases. This supportive environment holds multiple opportunities for growth and will allow experience in other units such as Mother/Baby and Labor and Delivery. Qualifications

  • Current valid North Carolina or Multi-State Compact license required.
  • 1 year experience in acute care required.

If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates and coordinates the patient’s care in an interdisciplinary model.
  • Manages and delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
  • Applies critical thinking to resolve problems.
  • Collaborates with physicians and other health team members in coordinating the plan of care and facilitating patient outcomes.
  • Ensures that patients are admitted, transferred and discharged in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Documents assessment, delivery of care and patient’s response to care in the medical record.
