Overview

Novant Health is looking for Infection Preventionists to join our team!  Prefer RN candidates with IP experience.  Advancement opportunities in the IP Department and paid APIC membership.  CIC certification reimbursement.  Promotion and generous pay increase upon certification.   Our IP team members are also encouraged to attend local, state, and national conferences to keep up to date in the IP Field. To actively participate in the Infection Prevention Program, by supporting prevention activities and best practice measures in NH physician practices.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Education: Associates Degree required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. RN or Medical Technologist required.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years of infection prevention and control experience preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: Cert in Infection Control and Epidemiology preferred. If no cert at hire, must be obtained within 2.5 years.
  • Additional Skills Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing; understands and uses personal computer. Demonstrates analytical skills i.e. calculation of infection rates. Maintain membership in the Association of Professional in Infection control and Epidemiology at a state and national levels to provide opportunities for networking and education.
  • Additional Skills Preferred: Experience with EPIC and the Bugsy Module.
