This unit provides care for a variety of patients, including but not limited to, Stroke both embolic and hemorrhagic, SDH, and SAH, seizure disorders, mild to moderate TBI’s, lumbar drains and some medical overflow such as Diabetic Ketoacidosis, patients with tracheostomies/stable ventilators, respiratory complications, and sepsis. As an RN on this unit, you may care for patients in our sister cardiac and medical units. The 6C Neuro Intermediate ICU has many supportive roles so the RN team can focus on care planning.
