The Hospital Chaplain is a professional chaplain with education, credentials, and 4 units of CPE. Works under the supervision of the Coastal Market Manager – Spiritual Care. Works as a colleague with other Chaplains. Contributes to the educational programs of CPE; and as a member of the interdisciplinary team providing spiritual care to patients, families and staff. Uses spiritual care knowledge and skills to effectively manage plans of care for patients in developmental stages Neonate (0-28 days), Pediatric (1 month - 12 years), Adolescent (13 - 17), Adult (18 - 72) and Geriatric (72+ years). Operates in the Regional Transfer Center under the supervision of the Manager of Regional Transfer Center in a safe and efficient manner. Responds appropriately using discretion and independent judgment to a wide variety of requests from physicians, outlying facilities and 911 centers to determine appropriate level of care, transport mode (air/ground), type of unit, and division or agency to contact to facilitate the transport. Coordinates in a timely manner all aspects of the mission and monitors the location and status of all transport units at all times while maintaining safety as a priority. Collects and maintains accurate records of information including pre and post transport patient documentation and transport records.
CPE Resident is a student enrolled in the one year Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Residency Program. Works under the supervision of a CPE Supervisor. Works as a colleague with other CPE Residents.
